Hey guys, so in case the rest of you don’t know, Joe won’t be coming on Monday which means I have to present for the political side. Does somebody else maybe want to do the refutations for the political side against the patriots so I don’t have to do both? That way Joe can do whatever you were going to do because he’ll be there on Wednesday. Let me know what you think. My email is bern…@gmail.com in case you need it.
• Leaving Great Britain is a bad idea because they would stop all shipments, supplies, and trading opportunities, which will affect the colonies economically.
• Economy will fail miserably because colonies won’t be able to rely on any other country for sustainment, other than the colonies.
• American colonies will probably lose trading rights with countries that are in an alliance with Great Britain.
I wasn’t too sure if I did this right, so please let me know if I am or not.

Alright this is for joe: You’ll be going wednesday morning. You’re refusting for the political part. I already told you this though. Here’s what they said.
1. If we’re subject to a monarchy government, there’s no room to grow or to have a better life.
2. He said there are still slaves in England. (but really if you look it up England is starting to pass laws for slaves)
3. They said “higher” people in America have our interests in mind and which England doesn’t.
4. They were talking about natural rights/laws.
They really didn’t say anything else. I would talk to Hanna about it too. The date we’re at right now is november of 1775. Dunmore just passed his proclamation of allowing slaves into to the British army for their freedom. Don’t talk about anything really ahead of this date. But research stuff ahead in case we jump to further date just so you’re prepared.
If you guys wanna add anything in that I missed, go ahead.
I’m not going to be able to attend class tomorrow 10/07/2009.

here are some points of mine i think u should make. Some of this is refuting wat they said on friday too.
1. Why should we join the patriots, whom r the people that r enslaving and mistreating us.
2. Patriot side said that if Britain won we would b shipped to England, only the men would b shipped, without their families.
-Alls we would hav to do is work for sometime and buy our families freedom.
3. With the french joining th u.s. army, britain may be defeated. But this will not change who we are surrounded by, and we’re still going to be under their rule.The same exact people who are enslaving us. Nothing will change if we don’t leave.
4. Say something about the dec. of independence and how its not even aimed towards us (that all men r created equal), jefferson wrote it, and he owned over 200 slaves. Also i belive slaves were only considered 3/5ths a person back then, but u8d hav to check.
